Here is an Open A diagram chord shown - 1 is low register, 3-5 are higher.


Notes: 
  • Fingering can 2 finger for Amin7, AMaj7 as buttons are adjacent
  • This works for chords that fit - starting with low bass but may need alt 3rd or 7th positions shown.
  • A/E (5th bass note), drop 1 down 5th

Playing a an open triad with root on bottom is reachable Closed Ctriad : C1-E3-G5 : 4-2-3 for example is closed  C1-E3-G5-Bb7 : 5-4-3-2-1 for example is closed dom-7th C1-E3-G5-B7 : 5-4-3-2-1 for example is closed maj-7th How to do this open?  Open chords fingering - third is on top (1st inversion) C1- G5-E10 - 5-3-2 or 4-3-2 C1-G5-Bb7-E10 - 5-4-2-3 (it is reachable)  Less reachable Open chords fingering - 5th is on top (root) C1-E10-G12 - 5-3-2  C1-Bb7-E10-G12 - 5-3-2-4 (TUCK THE 4TH UNDER TO 7TH)
